In the 1880s, dairy farmers in Denmark and Sweden formed small cooperatives to invest in a common dairy production facility called Arla Foods. By doing this, they made efficient use of their high quality milk products. The milk profit was equally split between the dairy farmers. Together, they were able to build a future for themselves, leaving behind a legacy that still lives on today, generations later.
